Financing Your Exports
The Central Florida International Trade Office held its second event on August 6, 2014 on how companies can finance their exports. The event spotlighted a variety of local, state, and federal resources dedicated to helping finance international trade opportunities.
Florida's Foreign Trade Zones
The third "Friends of International Trade" event was held on September 9, 2014. Strategies to lower companies' importation/exportation costs, improve companies' cash flow, and streamline companies' logistics processes were introduced.
Basic Steps: Export Compliance
The last "Friends of International Trade" event of 2014 was held on November 12, at the National Entrepreneur Center. Attendees had the opportunity to learn more about the export control regulations and best industry practices.

“International Business Etiquette,” our 4th Friends of International Trade event, was held on October 8, 2014 at the National Entrepreneur Center in Orlando, Florida. From exchanging business cards in Japan to negotiating in Brazil, many topics were covered by a distinguished panel of international business experts. We learned the importance of business etiquette preparation to every international deal.

Global Trade and Transportation: Freight Forwarders, Customs Brokers & Incoterms
On March 31st, 2015, Friends of International Trade gathered to learn about global transportation. 43 attendees learned from a group of experts the do's and don'ts of international shipping including knowing your products, understanding Incoterms, and navigating taxes, tariffs, and duties.

Between March 12 - 16, 2016, Central Florida hosted the Dubai USA Government 2016 mission to the United States. Orlando, Florida was the first stop on a tour of four American cities for the U.A.E. delegation interested in establishing trade and investment relationships with U.S. partners.
